I am a Psychologist and Anthropologist trained in developmental, comparative, cross-cultural, and evolutionary theory and research methods.
I am broadly interested in why humans behave as they do, and how their behavior is shaped by local cultural social norms and evolved adaptations.
My research focuses on cooperation. I study how both fairness norms and adaptations for reciprocity influence prosocial behavior in adults and children. I also study how human prosociality differs from that of other primates.
